14 min 30 sec   |   Short   |   Documentary

A look at the history, programming, and cultural impact of the historic Bug Theatre, Denver’s most unique artistic venue.

The Bug Performance and Media Arts Center is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that seeks to foster a supportive community of artists in Denver by providing the opportunity for the development of unique voices, a diverse audience, and dynamic programming. We believe in the spirit of artistry as the driving force behind every

production, in the integrity of the creative individual, and in the power of shared artistic experience.

The film offers a look at monthly programs Freak Train, The Emerging Filmmakers Project and EFPtalks… Equinox Theatre Company, which makes it’s home at The Bug… The Grawlix, which ran for three years at The Bug and, while no longer a regularly occurring program, remains a beloved part of Bug history… the yearly Halloween production Night of the Living Dead (directed by the fantastic Kris Hipps)… and the Amazing Acro-Cats, which visits the Bug every couple of years!
