Notes from Lead Actress Jackie Billotte - "Natalie"

Jackie Billotte
I was so excited when Eileen first offered me the role of Natalie. I was totally not expecting it and was thrilled she wanted me. I met with her and Damon at a Starbucks the next morning and ended up staying for two hours reading the script. The story kept my eyes glued.

Nat was such a great character to play. The funniest thing had to be that my actual best friend, Kate, ended up being our make-up artist. I had my real best friend Kate and a fake best friend Kate. It was a real motivator. Nat and Kate's relationship was so similar to (real) Kate and my relationship.

The cast was a blast to work with and I enjoyed every minute with them. The weekend in Estes at the cabin was perfect. My fondest memory is watching "Ivan the Terrible" with Chris and Kate for like two hours at one am. And then Chris and I found out it was only part one. Still haven't seen part two which is probably like 4 hours. Plus the chipmunks. Little known fact, chipmunks like fruit loops. Oh, and Eileen's reaction to "South Park".

All in all, I couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable experience. I loved everyone involved and am so grateful Eileen let me be involved. I wouldn't trade my experience on "Different Kinds" for anything.

Love,
Jackie
