Damon Martens joined Twelve Monkeys Dancing Films in late 2005, acting as the Director of Photography, Music Composer and Producer, and heading up all aspects of post-production, including non-linear editing and graphic design, on all TMDFilms productions beginning with the 2007 independent feature Different Kinds.

He graduated from the Art Institute of Colorado in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts and Animation. After developing six years of 3D modeling and animation experience, he expanded his skills in the video production arena along with music composition. In 2001, he worked at a local television news studio as a part-time camera operator and the studio's senior video editor. He worked on a crew of six that produced a weekly 30-minute show in four days. He later moved onto his current employment as a broadcast operator for a Colorado-based satellite company.

In 2007 Damon began composing original music for the soundtracks of all TMDFilms productions, beginning with the 2007 independent feature Different Kinds. He now acts as the company's in-house composer, arranging original music for all TMDFilms productions, including the five short films in the Monkey Tales Short Films Project. Damon also designs all the web graphics used on the various TMDFilms.com pages. In his spare time Damon shoots and edits short pieces using the Sony EX1.
